"it does work brilliantly, however" - 5 August 2007
If you dont have wireless internet, like myself. this little connecter IS your best option, however, its not plug in and play. If you want to get this thing working, it requires allot of tinkering.
firewalls, setting this as another network etc.
But, when it is working, it works brilliantly, just expect to faff about about a bit before it does.

"A must buy" - 10 August 2007
If you want to connect your DS / Wii to the internet and cannot face setting up an internal wireless network this is for you. I had set it up and connected to my Wii within 15 minutes. Very easy to setup (just put the CD in and follow the instructions) and no problems connecting (my Wii is the other side of my house and the connection is full strength). Cannot fault this product.

"Works on Vista Home Premium!!" - 17 August 2007
I bought this connector knowing that it only worked on Windows XP, i have Windows Vista home premium and it works perfect. I had trouble at 1st, it said i had the wrong platform of windows but i tried again but the 2nd time i put the connector in 1st . . nothing happened so i put the installation cd and it setup in about 3 Mins it was easy!! The ds had trouble connecting on registration 2 the computer but i tried again and it worked perfect, i'd recommend this connector if u had XP or Vista!!

"Hmm" - 14 February 2008
Well after reading ALL the reviews on here and on other places, I decided to buy one of these, I was extremely spekitcal as to whether this connector would work.
So I plugged it in when it told me to and whatnot and it worked! I was shocked! I've had one problem where it disconnected me but I believe that could have been my dodgy wireless. Either way I'm impressed.
The only thing that worries me is how long it will continue to work, but for now I am happy. I would suggest buying one from amazon themselves, that way it can be return if you find it to be faulty.

"Well Done Amazon" - 3 March 2008
I purchased the Nintendo WiFi USB for use with my nintendo Wii on the 1st March 08 and was amazed to receive it on the 3rd March 08
After having a nightmare with a cheaper USB link i took the plunge and went for the Nintendo USB,and followed the on-screen instructions on my PC,after 10 minutes i had my internet connection.
i would recommend this product to anyone with Windows XP or Windows Vista

"Brilliant!" - 27 January 2007
After reading quite a few negative reviews on this, I was a little nervous as to whether I should buy it, but wanting to access Wi-Fi, i went ahead and ordered it on 25/01/07.
Amazingly it was delievered first thing on 26/01/07, and i had no installation problems whatsover. I was connected to Wi-Fi on my DS within 15 minutes of installing it.
Great piece of kit, and Amazon's delivery speed is extraordinary! 5 stars!

"Wi Fi Connector" - 10 December 2006
This was quick and easy to install, set up the connections within the game and was playing online within minutes. Absolutely no problems. Using Windows XP SP2 & my broadband connection (Virgin).

"Once you've got it sorted, it's great." - 7 December 2006
As with many reviewers, I found getting the damn thing to work a little tricky. I tried multiple things to get it working and while it installed fine, and my PC recognised the device constantly telling me it was working and sending/receiving, it could never connect for long enough for it to work on any games that required continuous connection (ie: pretty much all of them. Got online gifts through with Animal Crossing though). Due to everything telling me the device was working ok, I feared it was the product or the WiFi service itself that was to blame.
I searched the web-site looking for answers, but the troubleshooting guide was so badly formated that it took me ages to find out that my Zone Alarm firewall had to be completely uninstalled. This was after looking at loads of online posts explaining that it would work fine with Zone Alarm if I altered security settings. Anyway, I got rid of ZoneAlarm and switched to Windows Firewall, and haven't had a problem since.
The product's great, but Nintendo need to offer more help to get people hooked up. More comprehensive troubleshooting would be a help. Maybe on the installation disk?

"Nightmare" - 18 November 2006
Ok, first things first. I have owned this for almost a year now, and I can still not get it to work, or rather I can't get it to install.
The idea behind this USB device is great for people like me who can't afford routers or wireless internet. For most it would appear to be simple to use, supposedly only taking up to 10 minutes to get you ready for DS online play.
Now the problem here is, as I have found, it is not as simple as it's made out to be. I have tried numerous ways of installing the device in order for me to use it, but I always end up with the same problem. The installation gets to the end, and then says the device needs to be plugged in to finish installation. Too bad it's already plugged in huh.
I got my PC formatted a few months ago, so I tried to install the device again at that time. It did actually work, and I got a little use out of it with no problems. A couple of weeks later and it's no longer working, and I have to uninstall and try to re-install the device. Only to go back to what I had been through for months on end with the failed installations.
So, for the past couple of months I have been trying to get it to work, but no matter what it just won't install. There are people that would say change this setting or that setting, but there is no need when the settings of my computer haven't changed since it got formatted a few months back.
I have got it installed on a laptop, but it's not a practical thing to do. It's not really worth the amount of time it takes to plug a laptop into the internet just so you can have a few minutes online play.
This device is a really good idea, and it does work really well WHEN it does actually work for you. But with the £30 price tag... I feel it is a bit of a rip-off for some.
I would say overall, if you really want to experience online DS play or are willing to risk this purchase only to find out it won't work for you... then go ahead.
If you can afford an alternative, I would suggest researching on all the different products in your price range, and decide yourself whether you will get more use from this Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Device or an alternative.
Good luck.
