5 out of 5  "games should be fun and this is packed with fun" - 13 April 2008
An excellent version of Mario Kart.

The wheel is great fun and amazingly responsive, I ordered an extra wheel and watching our four year and a friend is fun in its self.

Plenty of tracks and characters, baby Mario is our little one favourite,

Graphs are very good, I know it's not blu-ray or HD as non Wii fans would say, but games should be fun and this is packed with fun.

I thought Super Mario Galaxy was the best Mario game but this is as good and even more fun when there are more than one player.

5 out of 5  "A Stunning Update" - 14 April 2008
Disorientating at first, this new Mario Kart soon reveals itself to be amongst the finest of the series.

Pure, unadulterated fun of the highest order, from start to way, way beyond the finish line.

5 out of 5  "Well worth the wait - Highly Recommended" - 14 April 2008
This is one of the best games for the Wii. I have played all the other Mario Kart's and this is the best. My 62 year old dad could never get the hang of the old games but was playing this one for about 2 hours because it was so easy to get into.

The steering wheel takes about 1 race to get used to and then you are away. The bikes add a new flavour to the racing as they handle completely differently to the karts, making the vehicle selection more key. If you are looking at additional wheels, it is worth investing the extra money in the Official Nintendo wheel. It is a nice weight has a real quality feel and everything is designed to be exactly where you need it.

Graphically MKW isn't much different to the MK Double Dash on the Gamecube, but you won't care. It's not supposed to be a Gran Turismo. The game is quick to load and the new tracks all look great and very well thought out. The introduction of some of the old tracks from other MK games is a welcome addition that will appeal to veteran MK racers and newbies alike.

All in all very good game, and for £35 with the £8 wheel included it is great value. I highly recommend it

5 out of 5  "Brilliant!" - 16 April 2008
I recommend this game to all wii owners, old and young! I got this game today, and have only got off of it to write this review to encourage others to get it as well! The use of the wii steering wheel really makes the gameplay better, the main game is just as fun as ever, and the online play, well, games are all the more fun when you're playing real people from around the world. I can already see this being my favourite wii game for a long long time! Make sure you buy a steering wheel for this game if you don't get one already with it as really does add to the effect of the already brilliant game!

5 out of 5  "So much fun!!!" - 16 April 2008
I'm generally hopeless at any kind of driving game so I was reluctant to buy this but after a bit of persuasion from my boyfriend i relented - i'm so glad I did! This is one of the most entertaining games that i've played on the wii, and the variety of tracks and simple controls make it much simpler to get the hang of than other driving games. The wii wheel is a brilliant idea and makes the gameplay even more fun, though it might take a bit of getting used to - I kept pressing the directional buttons to steer by accident when I first started playing!

5 out of 5  "A game Truly worth all the Hype!!" - 19 April 2008

I had been waiting for this game since the Launch of the wii and i thought it wouldnt be worth the hype but it really and Truly is. There is so much to admire, excellently designed Tracks, wacky new weapons to squash your opponents and best of all the Online mode. The Online mode for me is where this game truly shines, take on your mates or random people across the globe. It is a game for all ages and the Addition of the Wii Wheel is truly genious!! Nintendo are back on form as the world's Number 1 console maker and this game will only strenghthen that fact.If you ever get only 1 racing game for your Wii... u wont go wrong at all with Mario Kart Wii!!

5 out of 5  "Driving has never been so much fun...." - 18 April 2008
Nintendo release another first class game that provides endless hours of fun. The graphics are colourful and game play is simple. Quite a few hidden levels, cars/bikes and characters to be unlocked.

Online gaming is very simple and lots of fun as human opponents are unpredictable.

Got a Wii? Treat yourself to Mario Kart.

5 out of 5  "Can't stop ......" - 19 April 2008
Just bought this game at the weekend, partner, son and myself are getting really competitive and can't put it down. The only drawback is beyond the game's control, ie, when you go to 3 player mode the screens obviously lose some visual impact (this could be my chance to get a giant screen!). I think it's one of the best I've played but that's good considering the high quality of the others i've got. The more I use the Wii, the more its novel qualities show the other 2 consoles where they have missed the boat in a big way. The Wii Fit is on advance order.

5 out of 5  "A fantastic game with a good mix of nostalgia and fresh courses and characters" - 20 April 2008
This is a very good game which appeals to the whole family. As a Mario fan, it was inevitable that this was going to be the next addition to my catalogue of Wii games, and I am very pleased to own it!

The wheel which comes with this game is, as usual, well-built and of the usual Nintendo affordable but high-quality standard. It is easy to use with the game, though multi-playing is also available if you have a Nunchuk or a legacy controller, allowing immediate offline multi-play with only one wheel.

Linking your game using Nintendo's Wi-Fi Channel (or WFC) can be a little fiddly for those who are not technically-minded, and there are a few teething problems with some friends taking a while to change from their question mark 'status' to available for online game play, and the Nintendo servers have also proven to be (perhaps unsurprisingly!) quite busy. However, once friends are linked and you're connected via the Nintendo WFC, game play against humans as opposed to your typical artificial intelligence makes for a very entertaining and competitive time!

For those who remember all the previous Mario Kart games there's plenty of legacy courses and characters to provide just the right amount of nostalgia, with newer courses showing their resemblance to recent Mario games such as Super Mario Galaxy.

Overall a fantastic game for all ages and abilities; newcomers and Mario Kart addicts alike!

5 out of 5  "Another rave!" - 22 April 2008
Lots of people here are praising this game very highly and, guess what, they're absolutely right!

I've loved all the iterations of Mario Kart, and unlike some people have generally found over the years they've got better and better. Maybe not in terms of rewarding 'twitcher' style obsessive gameplay (although I think it lacks nothing in the precision control department), but definitely in terms of simple, pure, joyous fun!

If you have a Wii and some mates, or a family, or you can just find some people to drag in off the street, there is no better game than this for a bunch of people to have a great time together playing.
