"A very entertaining game with real life effects" - 1 August 2008
I really enjoyed playing this game the effects are out of this world, I enjoyed the racing game where you throw the balls into the holes to get your mount to run faster, I also enjoyed using the claw to win a prize, shooting ducks, throwing basket balls into the hoops and many more, I think this will appeal to any age, I am 21 and this keeps me entertained!

"Lighten up" - 25 October 2007
Some of these reviews are from people who wanted a hard core gaming experience, This game isn't it but its a lot of fun and for £15 you can't go wrong.
The games are easy to learn and fun to play and you win stuff to make your charater look stupid. So get your mates round have a few beers and stick the Wii on is it all goes a bit dead and have a laugh thats all the game is for a bit of fun.
I bought it for my wife and she really likes it.

"great family game" - 4 January 2008
This game is great for a whole range of ages, my youngest is 4 and she can do many of the games and loves the way you can dress up your character with the prizes you win. These are hats, shoes, and accesories like pirate costumes.
My other children aged 11 and 7 also really like it and the 7 yr old can do all the games. My husband played it untill he had unlocked everything and then got a bit bored. I would recomend it for children and people who are not usually gamers (Like me)
You need more than one controller to make the most of the multiplayer mode but it can be played with one controller.
Overall great value for money. If you have kids you should definatly get it.

"Get your mates round!" - 21 October 2007
Carnival: Fun Fair Games is a game that every Wii owner should have in their collection along with Wii Sports. The long and short of it is its not some big budget blockbuster with amazing graphics, music and story so I don't think it should be thought of this way. Its 15 quid for 20odd carnival games that uses the Wii remote in various different ways, what more could you want?
If you have no friends then it could get a bit repetitive after a few hours but if there is a 2 or more of you then its great fun.
the only draw back is that you cant use your own Mii but you can make some real trailer trash Mii's with the games own Mii style editior.

"Roll up! Roll Up!" - 27 November 2007
If you like mini-games then this is your thing, 25 different minigames, each with a fairground game theme.
The game doesn't utilise the Wii's graphics as much as it could, but it certainly does take full advantage of the Wii Remote ("Wii-Stick").
The game is a bit of fun, but not very competitive, I found that after `going round the fair' and playing the games available it got a bit boring and I didn't feel inspired enough to unlock the other games. I think one of the problems is that a lot of the games seem to be more about luck than skill - not that I'm particularly skilled at gaming.
I'm not a hardcore gamer, I tend to have short bursts of Wii-stick action and I can't see me visiting this game with any great regularity. It doesn't have the "ooh, just one more game" pull that Wii Sports has.
Still, it's still a nice little game to demonstrate the Wii-stick in action, and I know my daughters will love it when they're old enough to play it.

"Please don't buy this game!!!!" - 22 February 2008
I know the idea of getting a "great value for money" game for £15 is appealing and that right now you're probably thinking that this is too good to be true. Unfortunately, that's because it is!
Personally, I have owned a Wii since it was released on the 7th December 2006 so I'm not a PS3 or 360 fanboy trying to persuade you that the Wii is terrible. This review is to warn you that this game is not long lasting. Substancially, you are not buying £15 worth of fun or enjoyment. The mini-games are tedious and do not show off what the Wii is capable of. After 15 minutes of playing, (on your own or with a whole group of people) you lose interest in the 25 mini-games on offer. In addition to this, there is no use of the Mii in the game. For a game like this not to incorporate the mii system is unforgiveable. Simply, this game lacks any sort of originality and flair that decent games include. For £15 you're paying for 15 minutes of unrivaled dullness and no sense of fun whatsoever!
If you are looking at this game simply for multiplayer reasons I can assure you that there are far better games available to suit your need. For example, Warioware Smooth Moves, this game has overwhelming value even if it is a tad more expensive. I'm sorry to say that this game is a cheap exploit of the Wii's capabilities. Games like this are attracting attention because of the cost rather than the gameplay experience.
I urge you to strongly reconsider this purchase simply because there are fantastic alternatives on the market that would offer a longer life, fun for the whole family and essentially value for money. In my opinion, go straight to Mario Party 8 Wii or Warioware Smooth Moves and leave this game where it belongs: at the bottom of the charts!
Please stay away from this game. After sending it back to where it came from and getting a full refund I wouldn't touch this game with a bargepole. Very disappointing!!

"Not bad but not great" - 24 February 2008
I went out and bought this game on the basis of most of the positive reviews on this page and also because it was cheap.
In summary the game's ok but it certainly doesn't deserve 5 stars, although this may be more suited to children who will probably love it.
The graphics are pretty good for what you'd expect, however the games are too short as you only get 3 goes at most of them. I thought this would be on par with Wii Sports in terms of multiplayer enjoyment but sadly it isn't. Once I'd played all the games once it gets a bit boring.
Overall, a good game probably for more junior players, and not bad for a couple of hours for adults - so it's up to you if you want to pay £15 for a game which is ok for a short period of time...
